BEFORE THE COURSE
- A checklist for sustainable course management can be very helpful for your instructors
Download here!
- Mobility needs to be thought of before the course starts. It can be addressed with e.g.
o An online pre course for mobility planning
o Choosing a destination that is reachable with public transport and promoting it
accordingly
o Exchange of addresses for carsharing (especially if public transport is hard to
achieve)
o Making the journey part of the adventure with Travel Stories
DURING THE COURSE
- Local mobility – think of the last mile when you have arrived with public transport and
how to get around
- What kind of educational activities are suitable for the environment? (e.g. Eco Grid)
- Special materials and tools might support learning and nature experiences (e.g. The trip
in your bag)
AFTER THE COURSE
- How much carbon emissions have you emitted as a result of your course? A
documentation can raise awareness within participants and also give further insights
regarding opportunities for reduction and compensation (SEE activity “Carbon impact
sheet”)
